electrical question

Not sure where else to put this besides the noob forum:
I turned my car off yesterday and the normal dash lights came on that do when the car is off and I had the heater fan on. I removed the key and the lights and fan stayed on, and when I got out of the car I could still hear the radiator fan going. Went back out this morning and the car was dead. Jump-started it, ran it for a while to charge it up and when I shut it off the same thing happened. Anyone know what this is or how to fix it?

are you sure you are turning the key off all the way, because my talon has a little button right beside the hole for the key you have to press before it lets you turn the car off

yeah, I tried turning it on/off about 5 times and it still does that every time
