I just got a 96 talon TSI AWD. It is an auto with 98,000 miles. The problem is that when you accelerate hard and get around 4K or above in the rpms all the lights on the dash flicktor. The car does not seem to pull as hard as it should in those rpms. Any idea what could be causing the problem?

that's a tough one, those are the only symptoms? maybe the alternator is going out and isn't able to charge properly at higher rpms. but then the battery would back it up so it might not be the alternator. I would look for more problems or beat the crap out of it at those rpms till whatever it is shows another symptom or breaks. then you can fix it

the car seems like it has more power with the throttle at 3/4 instead of WOT. it was throwing a code (dont remember the number) that had to do with the fuel pressure solenoid. I ordered a adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I dont think that would have anything to do with the electrical part though.
