2G Electrical Issues

So my 98 gsx is broken when i thought all was going well. One minute everything was working well : headlights ,bright lights, interior lights ,windows, sunroof ,the little chime when the key is in the ignition and the door is open. Now nothing works ,even if i press the little switches under the rear view mirror still no lights .Now the srs , battery ,brake , and yellow coolant lights are on . The headlights will come on but wont go off unless i unplug the battery. What could possibly be causing this ?

Check the ignition switch and then the column switch.

so before i got in and did too much work i think i found the problem . The 100A (blue )alt fuse blew. The bolt on top of the power steering is leaking a lot of oil everywhere . and I'm assuming into the alternator again . Last time it happened the car caught on fire the alt wasn't grounded so the fuse dint blow but this time it was ( i put an extra wire for grounding this time.)

Can you recommend a good altanator? Because I'm sure it's probably toast and it's an autozone brand so I know it won't really cut it.
