OK this is going to be a good one to use your brains on.... I have a 97 gst spyder. 6 months ago battery exploded and torched most of the engine bay. I have since bought the engine harness off of ebay all sensors etc... It is a 2.0 turbo 5 speed. i got an engine harness off of a 95 eclipse turbo 5 speed, thinking they would be the same with the exception of the cam timing sensor and the MFI relay. I have installed it into the car, purchased the 95 MFI relay, and plugged everything in. no check engine light, no theft light, and the convertable top does not work now. ALL fuses have been checked. I took apart the MFI relay and pushed it together with my fingers. ECM powers up, i can start the car and it works great, but the second i let go of the relay, everything shuts off. What I need to know is what wires actually power up the MFI relay and if anyone has ever heard of year to year changes for them. Or if anyone has a MASTER wiring Diagram with the whole engine harness on it. I have alldatapro and am at ropes end.. PLEASE if anyone has any ideas, throw them my way.

Thanks

The ECM activates the MFI relay by grounding ECM pin 38 (blue/green wire) which goes to MFI relay pin 2 (same color). I suggest checking this wire's continuity and ECM output on pin 38. You could also ground the wire first on the relay end and then on the ECM end to help find the problem. If grounding on the ECM end turns the relay on then your ECM is not working properly.
