Agreed. The line supplied with every boost gauge I've bought has been totally inadequate. Use regular vacuum hose and clamp it to the gauge fitting.

Rather then drilling holes in the firewall you can just stab the steering boot and run your wires and hoses thorough there. I personally have my wideband harness, boost source, and oil pressure source running through there and have had no problems. Its rubber so it hugs it and keeps it sealed and you don't have to keep drilling or enlarging holes in the firewall.well that makes sense guys Thanks I'm gonna need a long piece of hose and i made a hole in the fire wall on the driver side gonna have to make it bigger!
I have replaced the compressor cover o-ring before (common boost leak spot) and I just replaced the hotside (my old 6cm housing was cracked all to crap, I'll be posting pics in my build journal soon) while swapping to a 7cm housing and an external wastegate setup.Nathan, have you ever had to rebuild your 14b? I did a blt last night and heard a bubble in my oil pan... It's not smoking or leaking and boosts like normal, but I think the seal is worn out. I just don't know how difficult rebuilding one is. The exhaust housing has a little crack forming also, so I figured I'd stick a new one on since it looks like I'll have to take it apart anyhow.
. Just hit me up.If you need any vacuum line or fittings let me know I have plenty and also the boost leak tester with air compressor. Oh yeah and an open garage. Just hit me up.

This car will be my daily driver. http://elpaso.en.craigslist.org/cto/2762004026.html

i took off my smic to clean it i put it back and made sure everything was tight no way boost could escape but there is no doubt i can feel i lost power i took all the piping off and put it back together this time tighter and still i dont get the same 'pull' when the turbo spools.
