I was at the junkyard earlier getting a non abs porportioning valve and the lines and the car I pulled them off had sportline lowering springs on it. I don't remember if it was AWD or FWD. I've been trying to check to see if it matters. I know that the rear shocks are different between AWD and FWD. Does it matter with the springs cause they were in great shape and I have a AWD and don't want to get them if there not going to work.????

its for a 1g and i'm doing this on a tight budget cause I spent my money on everything else on this car  . these springs are like brand new and I can get the whole set for $60 so those with some kyb gr2 are gonna work out just fine for me.

Gr2s will blow pretty much just as fast as stockers with lowering springs, especially sportlines. They weren't made for lowering springs. Best bet would be to spend the extra few bucks on agx's instead of buying another set of struts shortly down the road.

I did get some goodies off the car. cyclone intake sitting in the back seat, non abs porportioning vavle and the hard lines for the abs delete on my car and a couple other lil goodies. I am just going to go and grab the springs and if I can't use them I'll sell them.

The part # are the same for FWD/AWD the difference is stock, the spring rate is higher in the rear of the AWD. I doubt Eibach would go through the time to make it different.

Front drop 1.5"
Rear drop 1.4"

GR2's Are the same as OEM, They are the factory supplier, as well as Gates is for the timing belts. Wear and tear on a car with lowered springs depends on road conditions, and distance traveled.

190 bucks for GR2 (Excel-G)
Excel-G Kit for Mitsubishi Eclipse (1990-1994)

Ran sportlines in my camaro. couldn't go over speed bumps had to avoid all dips and holes in the road after 6months of hell to my under body i went to the prokit. sportlines are way to soft for daily driving and to low.

That makes sense about the spring rate in the rear, I should have thought about that. Well I went back today and it was an AWD car so I snagged the springs. Got the springs for $40 so since I just saved on the cost of springs I'm going to order the KYB AGX's for the car. Thanks guys.

I had Sportlines on a 1gb I owned and the car rode like poop! the camber was all messed up, and the car didn't feel good at all!

I have TEIN progressive rate springs on my 2g and I love them the car feels like it's at stock ride height and looks nice!

As far as the struts I got Monroe OE Spectrum's at Advance Auto Parts and the come with a limited lifetime warranty so when they blow I get a replacement set at no charge ;)
