EGT Problem

I will ask this here since most here have a little more experience than the noob.
My Greddy EGT died the other day. Short of buying a new probe or gauge, does anyone know how to test this to see which one is burnt out? I searched and found nothing on this. I even posted in another board and no replies. Anyone have any tricks to testing this?

my guess would be to check voltage where the gauge hooks up to the probe. Since there should be a signal (probably voltage) that goes to the gauge and makes it move. Im not sure about the greddy egt gauge tho. I have a autometer and thats what I would try.

Check the circuit box for a black reset button. If it was overloaded with a voltage spike it would pop the reset button out.

It's not uncommon for EGT probes to break. They wear out over time.
