Is the egr valve suspossed to leak boost out of the vacuum nipples. The reason i ask is becuase today i was doing a boost leak test on my car and i was doing a process of elimination on it to find my leak since the soapy water didnt help. So i put my tester on my throttle body and pulled all vacuum lines off my intake and plugged them off. And when i added air i heard it leaking air back out the lines i pulled off the intake:confused: . So i checked them all and found the leak coming from the lower nipple on my egr valve. The only place it could be leaking air from is the cyclinders, but is it suspossed to leak air out. I wouldnt think it would but im not sure.

I've done several boost leak tests on both 6 & 7 bolts.
I've heard a 6 bolt leak a shit ton of air thru the exhaust manifold.
My friend who owns the 92 GSX did some research and it pointed to a leaking EGR.
We replaced it, and no more air rushing thru the ex man, but we did find all 4 injector seals and his TB shaft seals leaking.
Fixed those, and all is good.

So, now I'm working on my 7-bolt, and sure enough hella air was rushing thru my ex man like his did in the past with a bad EGR.
So needless to say I ordered a new EGR, and it'll be here Friday.
I also ordered new injector seals cause mine were leaking so bad that when I leaned over my valve cover to listen for where the ex man leak was coming from, my hair was actually being blown by the air leaking from my injector seals.
I will post back this weekend when I get a chance to retest my car.
