I have a EGR Valve leak and Ive tried everything to get rid of it and NOTHING work

Ives used severla kinds of gaskets but it still leaks

Ive blocked it off to but it still leaks

What can I do to get rid of the leak?! Its a pretty big leak to...

ya this is my second one and it leaks also, its just where the gasket is leaks

RTV with gasket. Are you sure it's leaking out of the gasket to atmosphere instead of through exhaust?

RTV with gasket? And yes I did the soapy water test with it and it was bubbles everywhere around the gasket. Then I blocked it off closed up the lines and it still bubbled around the gasket.

ok I did that and let it set for about 2 1/2 hours.....should I of longer? I drove it after about that time let its heat up a lil and stuff. Ill re-test asap tho, it got dark and I cant stand doing anything at night cause I dont have enough light for everything.

It should work, if there are still leaks, check to see if there is any scoring on the intake where the EGR bolts up.

Ok try this, get this stuff:

-Sanding block
-150 grit 2 pieces
-New egr gasket
-square piece of metal that is a little bigger than the egr gasket (1/16- 1/8)Thick(MAKE SURE IT IS STRAIGHT NOT WARPED)
-Get 2 screws that will fit for that new piece if the old ones dont.

1)Sand the crap out of the part that is on ## intake mani/tb make sure its nice and flat
2)Clean it off
3)Trace the gasket or old block of plate onto the new piece of metal with a perminet marker.
4)Drill the two holes
5)sand the burr off the metal and sand the metal a little.
6)now apply a tHin layer of Rtv to both sides of the gasket.
7)Clean both the new metal and the tb surface you sanded.
8)Now just pop it in and tighten it untill it feels about right, dont strip it.
9)Wait a couple hours for Rtv to dry and then give it a shot.

I just put this together in my head, I dont accually have my egr blocked off but I have removed it and put it back in, Just give it a shot. Should work.

Good luck pm me if you need to later!!:thumb:
