2G EGR block-off plate

I've been considering gettin this EGR block-off plate. Can someone please tell me where the hell my EGR valve is and what I can re-move after that install? Is it gonna make any difference at all? (I think the EGR is under intake manny but not 100%)

It's right under the throttle body, you don't have to remove it, just put a block-off plate between the valve and the openings on the manny. I removed mine just for the simple fact of the old one bit the bucket. You can remove vacuum lines on the intake manifold. Use the taboo speed shop diagram.

Remove the battery, the battery tray and the brackets. You should see it clearly, it looks like a smaller blow off valve. After installing the block off plate, you should feel slightly faster throttle response, but this mod decreases mpg a LITTLE BIT. Not enough to actually care

The EGR valve helps your car more efficiently and completely burn fuel by recirculating a portion of your exhaust and running it through the combustion process again. This results in a cooler, more complete burn of the fuel which decreases you car's noxious emissions by prohibiting the formation of some harmful gases.

It's kinda pointless to block it off. It shuts off itself off at WOT anyways. Its mainly for cruising speeds on the freeway.

Unless the EGR is malfunctioning and triggering the CEL. Blocking it off is typically cheaper than replacing it.

Ya i guess if it was malfunctioning and causing problems id just block it off too.

You don't have to buy anything, just make a plate from a piece of sheet metal and sandwich it in there with the gasket. Mine was leaking boost everywhere so I blocked it and the hoses.

ok well since mine isnt failing or anything I guess I'll just leave it alone, it seems its better being on there
