ecuflash failed during reflash, car wont start

i was using ecu flash to reflash ecu and it gave me the error failed to commit flash at 00018000 and now my car wont start, i searched to find an answer there is a thread titled in the same name but i cant read it because it directs me to the new site, can someone plz help did i brick my ecu ?

Something similar happened to me when a so called tunner tried to make some changes with poor hardware. Make sure all of your connections are solid and battery in car is fully charged. the reflash pin must have a solid connection. I was able to get an older map I saved back on my ecu that previously worked. Good Luck

Went back to a bone stock flash. Had to find one online. But I got it to work and with a deadbattery Has to jump it to see if it worked

It is always good to start by backing up your oem rom. But like mentioned, make sure all connections are good, this is the main cause for the flashing process to fail.
