ECU trouble?

Has anyone out there had this problem or ever heard of anything like it?

Every time I turn off my engine for more than a few minutes, the ECU resets. Normally the battery has to be disconnected for a pretty good amount of time for that to happen. It seems to sometimes reset in under fifteen minutes. Other times it will take hours. I have an Optima red top in it that is fairly new and have cleaned and retightened both terminals twice. Any ideas?

My suggestion would be to check the grounds around the ECU, and make sure all of the connectors are firmly seated.

Checked connections, everything is good. I can't figure it out. I've been reading the shop manual too. I can't find anything there either.

Might I suggest replacing your red top with the battery that worked just fine before?
