Alright, long story short: I'm trying to datalog my car, and MHIScan shows everything going insane.
Long version: I bought a vag-com 409.1 cable (compatable with MHIScan) to log my 98 Talon TSI/AWD, downloaded the proper drivers from the FTDI site, installed the latest .NET Framework (3.5), downloaded and installed MHIScan, and when it's connected to my car all the values just go insane. On a side note the car stalls when I hold in the clutch and rev the engine (no it's not crank-walk) and I was hoping this would help me resolve the issue if it was a sensor or something.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. I consider myself to be reasonably capable with computers, but this is blowing my mind. Am I missing something, or is my ECU really out of it's mind? I read that for Evo computers you have to ground pins, but no mention of such for DSM's, do I need to do this for my Talon as well? Has anyone else suffered this problem? I've been messing with different drivers and such for over a week now, and I just can't figure it out.
I know people are using this program and this cable to log successfully, so why isn't it working for me? I've searched here and on DSMtalk to no avail and I'm completely out of ideas. Any help will be appreciated, and thanks in advance.
