whats up,
I have this ticking noise that comes from behind my guages dash. I know for sure that it is not lifter tick, so could this be my ecu going bad. I know about the problems with the capacitors but I thought that it makes the ticking sound by the ecu. My ticking sound is directly infront of me in the dash. Anybody ever heard of this?

p.s. it seems to tick more right when I start the car or if it is cold outside. :talon:

im not sure what could be ticking but your ecu is basically down behind your radio not your gauges

It could be the solenoids located in the upper right ofdt he engine bay. I can't say I've ever heard them from inside the car but standing next to the car I could hear faint clicking when testing them.

I have lifter tick for sure, but this ticking is a little different. Do you think their is any way that it could be crank walkor balance shafts?
