I recently had to replace my battery and alternator, and for the 420a engine the voltage regulator is in the ECU. Apparently it was blown because the alternator was tested and worked fine, but there was no output from the voltage regulator so the battery light was on. I just replaced the ECU today with another one from the same year as my 98 Eclipse GS non turbo 2.0 5-speed. How do I get rid of the battery light now that the ECU has been replaced, and do I have to reset the ECU or flash it?
