Ecu reflashes?

Can our ECU's be reflashed? I'm a 97 GSX. I was wondering if a company like Buschur Racing could do this because I though I read that our ECu's cant be reflashed for some reason.

The reason being your ECU doesn't used flash memory to hold the ECU code. The code is included in the masks used to make the CPU. So, you can find a '95 EPROM ECU and use either a chip or DSMlink.

Thanks I was just verifying because I got in an arguement with some bone head and he saw no reason why my ecu couldnt be reflashed.
