ECU reflash

Is there anyone who reflashes ECU's for a 97 talon tsi? I found a place that does it for WRX's and I am looking for something simular for my talon. Here is the site for the WRX's so you know what I am talking about. http://cobbtuning.com/wrx/accessecu.html

Nope, read this link for why its not needed and/or wont work for us.

There are eprom reflashes to take out things like fuel cut and rev limiter. There is nothing to make performance better though because the air/fuel and timing are already on the "edge" in a sense and every mod would need a custom reflash.

Also dsmlink which uses a reflashed eprom type deal but still has the stock ECU gives the ability to tune much like a stand-alone.

I certainly wouldn't call <10:1 AFRs "on the edge."

To the OP, the main issue with your 97 is that you don't have an EPROM ECU. You would need a 95 EPROM ECU to be able to make changes to the factory maps. Keydiver chips, as an example, replace the factory EPROM chip and can adjust the maps for dead-time compensation when running larger injectors as well as for more optimal AFRs, but those are just two of the myriad of useful features you can get with one of them.
