I have made research and have found nothing on that.
I was wondering if someone has ever made an ecu reset switch. I want to wired a switch on the ecu grounds so that i have no need to unhook the battery ground to reset my ecu after a reflash, and it can be made from inside the car. Is it a good idea? Or should i put that switch on battery power side of ecu?
Thanks!

The real question is why would you want to reset your ECU often enough to justify a switch?

Thanks guys for reply!
Is it not the same as unhook negative from battery?

Edit : Absit after each reflash for tuning? Should i reset ecu after each reflash?

No, you don't need to do that.
Opening the ground circuit would be like pulling the negative terminal - it shouldn't cause any damage but it's not necessary.

So you mean, i don't need to reset ecu after rescaling, latency change my injector and modifying the maps?

No no no, with the h8 ecu after only making changes to injector scaling and latency values you have to reset the ecu, disconnect battery and turn the headlights on for about 30 seconds and you're good. YES, you must do this each time.

Ok! This is what i read on many threads. I am reseting my ecu each time i adjust the scaling and latency, just wanna make things more friendly without poping the hood

Yeah, resetting the battery everytime does get it old, but after getting the injectors dialed in you will not have too worry about it anymore.

How do you flash the ECU

Must have a flashable ECU in the first place, then a tactrix 2.0 OpenPort cable and a flash port connector or a flash pin from ECU Pin 79 too go to the 2.0 op cable. And ECUFLASH/Ceddymods, which ECUFLASH itself is free, and so is ceddymods but if you do it donate too him or get his big maps which is amazing. He has A LOT of time and money invested in this to help us dsmrs out.

Ok thanks!
Yes donate to Ceddy if you use his mod, he made so much awesome work. I have buy CeddyMod Complete and this thing kick a** :hellyeah: the best 30$ i ever spend

Huh, are you just doing it to reset fuel trims or is there some other reason?

If it's just to reset fuel trims, you only have to do it once unless you let the car transfer STFTs to LTFTs between adjustments.

I really don't know, i believe it is for erasing the old injector scaling and latency from memory? I try to change latency without reseting and cpu keep on old setting.

Are you using stock dsm ecu with ecuflash?

Edit: I just see you use evo8 ecu, no need to reset the ecu with that one?

I've never had an issue with it, but I never let the car run long enough to learn any LTFTs when I was getting a baseline for the injectors.

Yes, the STFTs. It's a quick and dirty way to get dailed in and shouldn't be the last step, but you can get a lot of it done there.
