ecu problems

i have a 95 ecu in my 97 eclipse. when i have that ecu in it shorts out in a weeks time and i send it out to get fixed by dsmlink. it is for the fuel pump relay and they told me to cut the evap wire. so i did but this did not correct my problem. the ecu still shorts out. my stock one is fine though. anyone ever hear of this? dsmlink never had a problem like this.

I have never seen anything like that. Are you sure the wire harness has never been tampered with? I had a wiring issue that I could never figure out and it ended up being a crossed wire from a previous owner.

I would trace down the fuel pump wires and see if there is a problem there somewhere. Good luck.

i was told that if i rewire my fuel pump it will fix this problem. i had the ecu in there since june and then this started in november. so it was fine all that time and then it just happened. thanks alot guys.
