Ecu Mix Up

Well today I just bought a '90 Eclipse GSX. The ecu that was in it was fried. So i took my friends '91 Ecu. Well It started fine and ran not so good. Well after searching the forums tonight i found out that the ecu where different. By using the '91 ecu did i mess anything up?

no you didnt mess any thing up, all you have to do is find a 90ecu, or do the harder rewire so you can use 91-94 ecu. Either way you will be fine.

LIKE black91awdturbo SAD YOU DIDNT MESS ANYTHING UP, YOU SAD I WAS A 90 GSX, I'M SURE ITS A 5 SPEED,THE ECU YOU NEED WILL HAS A CODE ON TOP, THAT SHOULD BE MD128625 ,IF IT IS A CAFL EMISSIONS CAR, THEN THE CODE WILL BE DIFFRENT. BUT IF NOT THEN THIS IS THE CODE, ECU YOU NEED.YOU MIGHT WANT TO SAVE THE FIRED ECU BECAUSE SOME PLACES GIVE MONEY FOR CORE ECU'S
