Hey guys,

Just got everything done with my 99 GST, and now trying to run ECU Flash. I have been reading all of the threads and everything is confusing me. One second I think I understand then ill read one thing and have no clue.

I'm about 30 minutes south of Detroit, is there anyone around by me that knows what they're doing? Willing to pay for a tune and some guidance so I can feel conformable with the process.

Thanks

This is 1/16, I think watching these while you are looking at ecu flash might help.

I'm about to pull my ecu tune and play around a tiny bit while watching videos.

This setup is very capable, but tends to cater to those that are more software savvy. I have used both ECUFlash and DSMLink. I always gravitate back to DSMLink for it's user-friendly software/features. Connectivity seems much more reliable as well.

If you are set on ECUFlash, more issues tend to be software/connection based. It took me a few tries to get the software installed correctly to connect to the ECU. Here is a helpful write-up I used to install the software:

Once working/connecting, check out these threads on where to go from there:

Make sure you have checked mechanical timing and checked for boost leaks before tuning. A wideband o2 sensor and aftermarket boost gauge are a must before changing any settings.

Watching those videos definitely helps, a lot!! I actually set up my injectors to get the car drivable to get tuned locally. Long story short, the tuned insanely sucked a hole in my wallet and for the car. I actually have my own tune ATM and runs much better. I also made sure it would pass emissions without all my sensors and emissions crap in place. Highly suggest watching them if you haven't already.

I watched all 16! I've been messing around and searching like crazy and I believe I have figured everything out!

Thank you guys for the links to those threads! Helped for sure!

Aem air to fuel, and altimeter boost gauges already installed!
