Ok so i went to Michigan and helped a buddy with his car. And fr the life of us we cant get it to run with throttle. We literally spent a day working on it...when i first got there...it would barley start and stay running and would die with the lightest touch of throttle. After spending all day working on it we got it to at least start and idle. Heres what we all have done

Checked and redid timing
Boost leak test
3 different ecus
Compression test
Checked plug gap
Check and tested 3 tps
Swapped ptus
Changed fpr
Fuel pump
Injector transistor pack

Now after all that it idles but once you hit the trottlevery lightly itll spit and sputter. If you floor it itll damn near choke out and die. With timing light ignition timing is way off but its all non adjustable. Car is a 98 gst

Theres spark..fuel....compression....what are we over looking what is causing it to spit and sputter with the slightest touch of the throttle? If i can get the video ill post it

We tried 2 different mafs....he had put a new crank sensor in prior to my coming to help. When I checked the timing with the light it was a good 3 to 4 teeth off...but actual timing is right

If it idles low and crappy and when you hit throttle it dies....maybe bad stopped up air filter? Seems like a dumb solution but could be it and is easily over looked

Forgive me if that was a dumb response LOL

Check IAC valve, clean the throttle body, check your BISS, air filters, and crank sensor. Make sure connector is grounded.. Gotta be one of those. Seems like that's what everyone else is thinking too
