ECU Compatablity

I just bought a 1991 Eagle Talon Tsi 2.0L Turbo 5-Spd FWD. It didnt come with an ECU so i need to buy one, what #ers are compatible. I have called 2 dealers and they have told me that i need an ECU with the #ers MD166260. I know the local U-Pull-Apart has a 91 2.0 Turbo 5spd with a good ECU in it, so i wanna go pick it up but i dont want to waste the money if it wont work.

Im only 16 so i dont know all too much about cars, but im learning. My friend has a 91 eclipse, so he knows quite a bit, and we're going to rebuild the ECU, if that makes any difference in compatablity. Something about replacing the capacitors and what not? Im power hungry, and driving a '65 mustang and going from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds makes me want to feel that adrenaline rush again.

To my knowledge any turbo 5spd, FWD ECU from 91-94 will work in your car. But before you install the ecu into the car take off the cover and see if it has an eprom in it. Heres how to tell if you got and eprom.
