I am interested in buying a 97 gsx... I am wondering I have dsmlink right now for my ecu in my 91 tsi.. I am assuming I would have to send in the 2g ecu to dsmlink and pay for it all over again? Could I swap the block out from my rebuilt 6bolt? With it be compatable with the transmission of the 2g? Could i change out the cams without a problem? Basically, what I want to know is what can and can't i put in the 2g from my 91 awd 6bolt.

If you don't need the 1g ecu, I don't see why they wouldn't be able to "swap" it for you.
Could I swap the block out from my rebuilt 6bolt?
Yes.

Yes.

Yes.

For the most part, parts are interchangable between 1g and 2g.

Thats prob a safe assumption. Odds are the ECU in the car you are looking at is not a EPROM. So acualy you would have to buy a new ECU.

You can put everything you listed in the 2g. You cannot re-use. i/c piping, 1g mas setup, 1g trans.
