1G ECU capacitors

Are the stock capacitors made by Rubycon? I am asking this because i just bought this EPROM ECU and was wondering if they were stock. They are not leaking but the front and back capacitors are black and says Rubycon 105 degrees celcius and third one is a blue one that has 85 degree celcius on it?

Is your ECU going out? If it works, I wouldn't mess with it personally.

yeah i think they are stock capasitors i found this pic that looks just like mine. Yeah i just dont want them to leak and mess up my board because i've allready had a eprom board fried because of these capacitors

If you are really worried about it send it to who did your eprom board or contact ECUlink and they will be able to take care of you. But I really don't recommend doing it yourself in all honesty unless your do that kind of percission soldering for aliving.

yeah i would never try and solder capacitors on a board
Do you think a computer repair shop would be suitable for the job?

Yeah they should be able to as long as they do soldering projects, I know a few computer places that just sale the components, so I would call and ask them, or check with your local radioshack they might know someone who could do it also.

Can't agree with ya on that one, if you replace the caps with the newer revised ones it can save you from having to buy a new ECU which is much more expensive.

Don't send it to a computer shop, send it to someone that knows the ECU's on our cars inside and out, and has the ability to test them. Talk to Steve.
