eclipse parts on a talon?

k, sometime (soon hopefully!) during this summer i am going to be purchasing either a 97+ eclipse gs-t or gsx... or a 95+ talon tsi... the thing is however, if i go with the talon ill definitly have to go with a body kit... im leaning towards the blitz kit, even though the front bumper is a lil too common... anyways i was wondering if a basic fiberglass blitz kit would fit on a talon...

im not a big fan of the rear lights of the talon either, if i were to convert the rear to look like that of the eclipses rear, how much would i be looking to pay???

If you don't like the talon lights then leave the talon alone and just get the eclipse. it will cost way more than it's worth to convert.

an eclipse gs, rs, and talon esi will definately look good with a blitz body kit...

a stock DSM looks 10 times better than one with a blitz body kit. its too common and ugly!
you u want a turbocharged DSM, you'd be better off spending the money on mods, instead of the blitz body kit (wack!)

but then you can argue that a blitz body kit is actually a performance upgrade itself, seeing as the fron blitz bumper has the biggest opening for a front mount intercooler compared to all of the other popular(or stock) front covers....

the talon turbo i am loking at is 4500 bucks with 160000 miles on it... but it runs perfect as any other i've driven... so i figure i could save 2500 bucks over an eclipse and put a body kit on and give it a nice paint job, and even have money left for mods.... since my budget is under 8k

when did he say he'll be getting a FMIC? what is wrong with a hacked stock front bumper? dont tell me that he'll also need a 25'x50' FMIC to help cover up that biggest opening front bumper... seriously, i've only seen about a couple DSM's with a blitz front bumper attached with something along the lines of a small greddy FMIC!

You would need the eclipse tails, reverse lights, and the bumper skin if you were keeping it kitless. You can buy all the parts you need on ebay cheap, or dsmtrader. If you go with 97-99 side skirts, they're hard to find complete(6 pieces). Good luck, and I hope that car is pretty clean for $4500 and 160k.

The only problem you will run into is back bumpers, the shape of the tails cause the back bumper to fit differently with gaps.

Also realize if you do get the Talon the front bumper MUST fit a 95-96 eclipse, not a 97+ because the 97+ eclipse have different headlights

No, I converted my Talon, and the only thing that needed fabricating on the rear bumper was 2 brackets I screwed in about 2.5'' higher than the original Talon bumper. It took like 2 minutes...no problem. Tail-lights bolted right up, and so did the wiring harness. The only bit of wiring I did was for the reverse lights...also not hard at all. Just buy an eclipse dude... this sounds like buying a kitten and payin 3 grand for plastic surgery to make it look like a dog... if u want a dog just go buy one.

Unless there's something you want from the Talon that an Eclipse wouldn't provide... I can't imagine you'd find a good enough deal on a Talon that you could convert it cheaper than the added cost for an indentical Eclipse. But maybe I'm wrong.

The Talon's are cooler anyways, just get a Talon and buy an Eclipse spoiler... that's the only thing Eclipses got on em

i love the way my 97 talon front bumber it looks aftermarket nice and big openings all i need to do is replace the rear wing with a differant one and put some 18's and neons and the outside will be done

well whether i get an eclipse or a talon, im gonna put a body kit on and give it a paint job anyways... so i figured id save a couple G's and make it look the same as it would if i bought an eclipse in the first place... the end result with either car would be the same anyways...

3 grand?? I only spend a couple hundred bucks on converting it. This was easily made up with my cheaper insurance. Not a whole lot cheaper than insuring an eclipse, but cheaper none the less.
