Putting Eclipse body parts on a Talon

in the near future i could be getting a 2g talon tsi, im not quite of the year but it is a 2g, but i hate how the body of a talon looks compared to an eclipse

from what i gather and have read on these forums is that the two are the exact same car just under a different name, so i figured that this would work but im unsure so i thought i should ask someone, would it be possible to get parts from an eclipse such as door panels and front bumper and the such, and put them on the talon?

any help would be appreciated

Dude just get an Eclipse. Unless it's a REALLY good deal on the TSI that you can't pssibly pass up.


Conversion can be done by why do all the work if you can just look a little longer for an Eclipse?

It depends on what year of eclipse you want to convert to, if its a 97+ you will need:
- headlights
- front bumper
- taillights
- rear bumper

You will pretty much be an eclipse if you have a 95-96 talon. If its a 97-98 talon you'll need doors as well.

Too me the whole thing is pointless because the amount of money you'll spend getting the parts and painting it to match your car is MUCH higher than buying a eclipse in the first place.

well the reason im looking at the talon is because i can get it for $3600 and through a friend of my brother, its the cheapest one i have found in nashville and some of the gs-ts ive found or almost double that and i cant afford that at the moment

if anyone knows of any cheap ($5000 and below) gs-ts or gs-xs even, it would be nice if they could send me an email giving me details of the car, im willing to drive to buy the car if i have to, somewhere on the east coast preferably or in the south

mines for sale any ways, I was thinking of doing the 97+ converson on mine, but sence im selling it, whats the point, Any ways, your looking for the parts off an 97, avg is about the same as a good body kit, I added my list up from ebay and other venders, looking around $650+ to do the converson. You need the Front bumper, front head lights, Side skirts, (door caps opt), rear bumper, rear tails, rear reverse lights, and spoiler. Avg paint shope $1100, witch if you think about it, if you would get a body kit, Your going to get it painted, the fun part is finding the parts, but not hard, I got my talon for a good deal when the eclipse's was up in price, got my talon at 111k for $5200 when eclipse's around here where running in the $6k+,Just my .02$ sence
