Exactly. There's certain things on Ebay that you can 'go cheap' on, like with Intercoolers (See the thread on them), but there's some things you really can't skimp on, like turbos. There's a little more to turbos than intercoolers. Buy from a reputable company.sp00ln said:I would recommend buying a decent turbo from a reputable company, such as AGP, Slowboy Racing and FP. They'll give you a quality turbo, everytime, and a warranty. They also offer great customer/business relations - both you cant find on ebay. I know there are countless members on this forum that have used warrantys for new turbos in the past year. Shit happens.. stuff flies in the turbo, something gets caught in the oil feed, customer satisfaction is not met, anything. I'd recommend NOT purchasing from Ebay.

I'm quoting this from another thread:
OBX = SSAutochrome = XS Power
They are all the same company changing their names to ditch the bad rep.
Care for any more SSAutochrome humor?
You are looking at a different car with a similar situation being held together with a hose clamp.

^yes, thats glue.
Yep. Like I mentioned earlier though, there's a little bit more to turbos than intercoolers. I'd stay away from Ebay turbos unless you're 100% positive it's an authentic Evo 16G, FP3052, etc.1993eclipseGS said:Although, ALOT of people are having goodluck with the 2g fmic kit with short route piping. So much luck that the price has gone up almost $200.00 and they are having a hard time keeping them in stock.
Hot dog down a hallway, eh...1993eclipseGS said:Same here, When I purchased my car off of a friend, He had an ''evo 16g'' on it from ebay. The first one blew apart just from a drive around the block, Literally.. It was shot. They sent him a new one, Which is when I purchased the car. As soon as I took it off ( A few weeks later, And not even a couple hundred miles on the car, The turbo was SHOT. It had so much shaft play I thought I was going to be able to pull it right out. In and out, And side to side. It was like moving a straw through a paper-towel roll...
