Ebay special clutch carnage

I just though I would share a pictures with you guys. I bought this clutch off of ebay for about $150 a while back. It lasted me a little bit under 15,000 miles than the Throw out bearing decided to take a dump on me.

No, do not buy one. The only reason I bought one was I was low on money after having to pay the shop for labor. Now I'm just kicking myself. Do not buy an eBay clutch!

I bought an eBay clutch and had a mechanic install it since he was rebuilding my engine.

I assume that he used the TOB that came with the clutch. I've only put 10 miles on it though. Left it home for college. Is there a way to estimate when I'll start seeing problems with a non-OEM TOB?

I doubt the tob caused the teeth in the pressure plate to all come off
I was going to buy an ebay clutch but now I DONT think so!

I had to put an Autozone clutch in mine when it went out the first time. After about a week anything over like half throttle in 3rd, 4TH, AND 5TH it would just let go. That was with only minor bolt on's at that time. So no I would not recomend anything from Autozone. Trust me I used to be a Store Manager there. Also they will not honor they're warranty when it goes bad not even for an employee. Spend a little more money the first time and have the piece of mind knowing you bought a quality part.

same here... and to think I paid to have it installed. It started slipping a few days after it was installed. On cooler days it even slips 2nd. My buddy said he would replace it with another (not autozone) at no cost, but this was months ago, and I dont make it home much.

Try adjusting the clutch pedal to ensure you are getting full engagement on the clutch.

+1 seen this happen lots of times and the mechanic was blamed........well still his fault for not adjusting it

With any other clutch's TOB minus ACT, Kragen, Autozone, or ebay whatever you should be fine with it as a daily driver right? Daily Driver as in only like 150 horses with a stock 2g GST.

off brand clutches are junk.. I put a stage 3 ebay clutch in my 96' accord that I was going to boost (dont ask... dumb idea) and it went out 3000 miles later off the stock horsepower....

THATS SAD!
