Just want to know how you guys feel about the ebay special rads. I've been thinking about picking up a cx racing rad. If anyone has invested in these please let me know so I don't waste money LOL

change the plug out to what? THe one I got from PR has a plastic drain plug, would just changing the o-ring be ok or what?

I always have replaced my drain plug with a on/off valve with a push fit hose barb so i can drain my radiator without making a mess.

True, but for me the aluminum radiator with the plastic plug with o-ring didn't last. It may work with other Ebay radiators, but it didnt for mine. It didn't make me overheat, but it leaked. Just watch the drain plug if it does.

My cx racing radiator started leaking after 4 months. Luckily my buddy still had my half core sitting around and didnt use it. I got my half core on and still kicking with no complaints.

I would stay away from the cxracing ones.

I have an ebay radiator. Once I switched it out I didn't have any more cooling issues. I bought it years ago so I don't remember what brand it is. The plastic drain plug on mine is still holding up. Let me see if I can find the recipt to see who makes it.

I have an ebay rad too, don't remember the brand, very good product but shitty plug and coolant sensor o-rings.

I have the cx racing radiator with the fans and shroud. Haven't had 1 issue with it, drain plug doesn't leak car never over heats and it still looks good. Bought back in like August or September of 2010.

Bought a CXRacing one for my WRX. Love it. Replaced the drain plug ahead of time. My temps dropped about 20-30 degrees just from the radiator upgrade. Will be buying another one for my Talon.

for the average dsm, it will hold, but once you get to a certain hp, an ebay radiator might and will cause big problems... I personally have seen cheap radiators on high hp cars not work very efficient and even blow up... I've seen cheap welds on intake manifolds blow up, I've seen cheap intercoolers blow up, I've seen cheap silicone hoses blow up, you name it, I've probably seen it all at the racing track before, ppl spending all their $$$ on their engines mods only and neglecting other supporting mods by going the cheap way... Thats why a lot of street/track cars only see the track 2-3 times before something ends up breaking, a lot of ppl only emphasize their effort and money into their engine and thus end up neglecting the rest of the car performance mods like suspension, transmission, driveshaft, cooling system, etc, and even safety mods...

I'm shooting for big numbers so I think I'm just going to get a mishimoto. MAP is running a deal right now and I just found out I'm getting an extra grand back on my tax return that the wife dose'nt need to k ow about LOL :). Thanx for all the feed back guys

Your funeral. ;)

Lol no I will just tell her I traded parts for it LOL she knows I have a small garage filled with parts so she won't ask me about it. She absolutly hates my talon . She is just jealous because I spend more time with it then I so with her. I told her when we got together that I work o. It all the time but I don't think she believed me :)

I ran a mishimoto on my civic and loved it, but at the same time I had am ebay radiator on my 500whp integra and never had a problem out of it or it's cheap drain plug.

That's like picking the double Big-Mac over a regular Big Mac, when you can afford Kobe beef.

I've had a ebay radiator for 3 years now, plastic drain plug and it still holds up just fine no leaks at all or anything, only time i had heating problems were when my thermostat gave out. not sure on its brand.
