Quick question. Turbo to non turbo 2g radiators, is the only exterior difference hose placement? I know the auto has tranny cooler lines also but I'm manual so that don't concern me. I ask because I have a small crack at the top of my radiator and need to replace it and was wanting to upgrade to a two core radiator but can't find one for a non turbo. I'm planning turbo in the sring and have read where some have run into cooling issues and thought a two core radiator would help that. If its just hose placement I can manage that. Maybe I'm way off, that's why I'm asking. Thanks guys

I want to say that it is just the hose placement. When I replaced my radiator, I had to verify where the the inlet/outlets were. They had 2 options for me (97nt). The upper hose off to the passenger side or the middle. Maybe someone with a gst/gsx could chime in and verify.

If it is just the hose placement, They make a stainless Flexible radiator hose that you can get in a variety of sizes/length.

On a turbo the upper hose is in middle and the lower hose is on the bottom right (passenger side). On a non turbo the upper hose is on the right (passenger side) and the lower hose is on the left (Drivers Side). It probably wouldn't be that hard to make the upper hose work but the bottom is on the opposite side.

Thanks! I didn't know where the bottom one was for the 4g. :thumb:

For the bottom, it may not be that bad with the flex hose and some modification to the water pipe going to the water pump:hmm:

That's what I was thinking, just wanted to clarify before investing in a turbo radiator. I've looked at my hoses and believe even the lower can be modified easily enough. Thanks for the help and clarification guys, I appreciate it

I used a fluidyne/visteon 420 radiator in my gst once. Just used two soft hoses and a hard pipe in the middle. You could simply use a pipe with two couplers if you made it right. Or just buy a big aluminum turbo rad and move the hose locations. The issue with that is the turbo upper hose week still right above your turbo. Bad idea.

Best thing, since your capable, buy an aluminum 1g radiator. Move the bottom hose and move the pins out half inch on each side.
