Looking to swap from M/T to auto. Will the jdm
auto bolt up on the 1g

I remember posts in the past regarding issues with JDM autos:

These are all 2g's but I don't know if they have the same issues in a 1g, Its just safer to stay with the USDM trans.

He is correct. The JDM ones on ebay are from the RVR. The bellhousing is 1/2" too short because they were designed around a non-lock up converter. This also throws off the intermediate shaft. I believe the gear ratio is different as well.

Get a USDM tranny.
