ebay exhaust systems?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

I know yours came with a removable silencer. When you remove the silencer, and look into the canister, does it have that silencer guide? If not, I guess it's just for the FWD models..

i have an ebay one as well for a 2G GS-T, doesnt have what you speak of and what is showin in the picture you linked us to.. must be the brand you got... WTF:(

EDIT, it looks like the "super exhaust" (downpipe and catback combo) turboback from SSAC for the 2g AWD is sold out again on EBAY, looks like there are a bunch of you here who got it ;)

I fixed the ricer tip :p

I'm not sure if what he got is the same as mine. The DP is 2.5 to the end of the flex, and there is no race cat.

Aside from flipping the hanger, I also had to modify the DP inlet flange bolt holes. They won't fit the O2 studs.

I fixed the ricer tip as well...

nice muffler, anyway, i installed my RSR* ebay 3" catback for a 2g awd, with a high flow cat and PR downpipe, not loud at all, barely noticeable under wot, it came with 2 resonators, so if you want a quiet exhaust, RSR is the way to go, $200 shipped :thumb:

just my .02

Can you shoot a link to it on ebay?

Its a magnaflow muffler. The shortest one they offer of the 3" in and dual 2.5" out. I think it's 14" for the canister. I forget the site for the tips, but once I figure it out I'll post it up.

Got it. http://www.sup-auto.com/catalogs/supergear.pdf

I have # 28-6602 on page 6

I love this exhaust. That ebay one is a good starter to say the least. When I bought it, it was $218 shipped. Ran it just like that for about a year and a half. This summer I had this muffler installed along with an o2 elim full 3" dp and a hi-flow 3" cat.. All I need now is a good tune, and to fix some boost leaks, I can hear them, sneaky little f*ckers

Also on another not. I first took the car to Monroe to have all the fab work done. For whatever reason they told me they couldn't do it. I think the tech was just lazy and didn't feel like doing it. But the manager there asked me why I wanted to chop it up. I told him why and also asked why he asked. He goes, "by the looks of it, there's about a $1000 worth of welds there." I was impressed with the welding job when I got it in the mail, but I didn't expect all of that.

I gave up on finding ebay exhaust for my 1g, i waited couple of months for that company to start selling them but they never did when they ran out.

well i was hoping ssac had some for a gst but they only have gsx so this will do.

Ok, this is thread number three with the unhelpful funnies, can we get a little more serious and address the questions from here on out?

From my own experience, I don't have any experience with the systems mentioned, but I have purchased a few mufflers off ebay, and usually fabricate the rest. I bought a Bomz Racing muffler for around 15.00 a while back... i figured, for 15 bucks, why not? It was actually a pretty good muffler, decent sound, good construction, but typical for cheaper mufflers, some of the rivets started to come loose, so I replaced a few of them, no biggie. Also, the magnaflows are a pretty good muffler, have used them on many cars. It all comes down to construction. If it looks to be well-built from good parts and materials it is worth the money. Remember too it is easier and cheaper to "advertise" products on ebay than to buy ad time in magazines, tv, etc. Not that a knockoff is the same as the genuine, but you get my point. I guess my point is, judge a book by its cover, just not by its title.

I just get a little fed up with all the bash ebay comments that seem to run rampant on here from time to time. I'll rip on it every once in a while, but I just can't stand the flurry of negative, often unfounded, responses that are sure to pop up as soon as the word ebay is uttered. Sure, there is alot of stuff on there that is going to break as soon as you get it, and alot of other really cheap stuff. I have, however, found alot of good deals on little-known brands that have turned out to be decent. It all comes down to discretion, and if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. There are alot of people who are using ebay parts and having good results. Not all of us can buy the big brands all at once. And if a cheaper component can perform "well enough" for now and save me some cash, I'm in.

Stepping off the soapbox.
