Ebay Antenna Installation

I bought some antenna off ebay

POWER ANTENNA KIT MITSUBISHI 91-99 3000GT 89-98 ECLIPSE: eBay Motors (item 290407923801 end time Nov-24-10 14:22:33 PST)

I have my old antenna removed, and the new one ready to install, however I cannot get the wiring right. The antenna came with 3 wires, a red, green and a black. The black is the ground and is already screwed into the body of the car.

I cannot figure out which 2 to connect the red and green wire to in order to make it work properly. I can get it to go up and stay up, or go down and stay down. But not go up and down when I turn the radio on and off.

The direction are universal, and they do not coordinate with the colors my OEM antenna had.

there are only 3 wires on the new power antenna, and 8 wires on the old one, connected to 2 plugs, what I need to know is.

Green connects to which OEM wire.
Red is obviously the power, and connects to the other red power wire.

Time to get out the multi-meter. Test the 8 wires to see what ones are full 12v with ign and which only have 12v when the radio is on. Then red to ign 12v and green to the radio switched 12v. Cap the other wires off.

If I'm wrong someone correct me.
