I recently stopped by the Blue Bay Resort, and it doesn't look like that many cars will be able to be able to park there. If you guys are cool with it, I think somewhere more recognizable (like NASCAR Speedpark, behind NASCAR Cafe) would work out better.

Did you see the overfill parkinglot behind and across the street from the hotel? That lot was empty most of the time.

I'll go down and check it out today guys. I am pretty sure you are correct Doug but down there some of the parking lots are for customers only and they are hardcore about it. They will tow you without thinking twice. I'll go down just to make 100% sure.

That lot is next to the bar, but there is another on the other side of the hotel that I asked last year if they minded a couple of extra cars parking in it for a while. As long as they were staying the night the hotel dude said it was cool. (overfill parking lot only though)

Anyways, ok. I'll go ahead and throw this out there for the 95South/40E Folks heading to Wilmington to then go on to Myrtle as a larger caravan.

Approximately 36.8 miles from the intersection of 95 and 40 there is a rest stop on 40E closest to Wilmington. This is the only rest stop near that intersection without having to drive too much in the wrong way. I recomend we put this as the meeting spot for those coming from North and West of that intersection.

I suggest meeting in Southeast Raleigh (near the intersection of US70 and I40) around noon. Depart at 12:30 which should put us at that rest stop at about 1:30. Wait again for about 30 minutes and from there we'll leave to go to Wilmington and arrive in maybe 45-55mins. This should put us in Wilmington at about 3pm. Please note that the last exit number on 40 is 420A .

That's just a plan with room to adjust to try and get as many of us together without making too many people wait too long.

I've asked a few times before if anyone is going to be able to work around this schedule and aside from the two people in Raleigh I just talked to and those waiting in Wilmington there seems to be no one interested in meeting or altering this plan so that we can meet up. Does anyone have a schedule that could be assimilated with mine?

I checked out that parking lot that is beside the bar and it's probably a negative on that. It's owned by the Tides resort across the street and they are complete a-holes about it. I've been kicked out of that parking lot several times. There is only like 3 spaces in it for the bar the rest are the Tides and there is signs everywhere telling you so. There is tons of places we could meet though. Anywhere at Broadway, Wal-mart, the list is endless. We can always just try it and if they say something have a second option to meet at and just call the "leader" of the people who aren't there yet.

yeah there are still plenty of rooms. you have to remember that it's the offseason right now. you just need a credit card to make a reservation, no deposit. i have an extra bed in my room if you need it. let me know.
