Looking to be able to adjust and tune to a safe reliable 250whp. Looking for any suggestions on the most reliable way to make that power.........FMIC, bigger turbo, lower boost instead of tweaking stock turbo to max?

DSMlink easy for beginner? I looked at the site.....is it realtime tuning from the car via laptop? Anything else easier/ cheaper?

What downpipe is cheap, stainless, and will bolt up to stock catback, or what is the quiest turboback?

Have been searching forums for awhile...looking to just get a little more direct as I don't want to crank the hell out of a motor with this many miles. Thanks! :thumb:

I'm tuning w/ a vpc and afc and its running fine tuning wise also my Friend w/ your exact car is just tuning off his 2g maf and just afc hope this helps

I started out with just the GM MAF and the translator. Its extremely simple and quite easy to get a good tune with stock injectors. One you dial in your injector size, there are really only a few dials you adjust with so its very straightforward.

The SAFCII is a cost effective way but like blackGSX2g said the GM MAF and translator has got to be the easiest. After you get your setting's put in tuning is very straight forward. Make sure with any tuning device you get a datalogger first to monitor o2 voltage and most importantly knock.

Okay. Would any datalogger setup work? And is the datalogger realtime or no?

I'm coming from a Buick Grand National where we tune by chips, knock sensor's and timing pretty much. Unless we went standalone, there wasn't any easy way to alter the timing/fuel unless i wanted a new chip burned.

Don't plan on going big with this 98 GSX as its got to stay reliable. Just want to be able to make sure my tune is spot on, because the GN's guys taught me a lot about that. I more than likely will just get the SAFC_II and tune on an all-wheel dyno.
