I replaced my stock mani with a tublar mani, forgot the brand name. I had to drop the whole turbo to get to be able to tighten the back 2 bolts. As I took it for a test drive, It was bogging right as it should have boosted.

I just did the soap and water trick, and its leaking bad from turbo to mani. I am going to go with a different gasket. Is there an easier way to get to those back 2 bolts?

Check the flange of the mani and make sure it is close to flat.

Some tubular mani's will warp when they are welded at the factory.

I had to have the DNP stainless manifold I purchased surface ground. Both flanges were slightly warped. If your new manifold is stainless, be prepared for the shop to whine a bit. (stainless is harder on their equipment.)
