I have a set of Eagle connecting rods for a 7-bolt engine I'm not sure if they're the new ones or the old ones. I have been having all kinds of trouble finding the correct bearings to fit these rods. I looked through some of the other posts on this topic and in one it said the tang on the 7 bolt bearings have a smaller tang on them but the 6bolt bearings are wider.

In this picture I have two rod caps. I'm trying to find bearings to fit into the one on the left. The one on the right is clearly wider than the one on the left and I have ordered two sets of bearings and both fit perfectly into the one on the right. I ordered one set of 7-bolt bearings and one set of 6-bolt bearings and those two sets are the same so one of my orders had to have been messed up. but I don't know which ones are which.

So which bearings will fit the Rod on the left?

What is the PN of the bearings that you have in your hand? both sets if you will.

Better question is, why do you have 2 different style rods?

I bought the car with a spun bearing. It had eagle rods in it so I just bought a reman single rod to replace it. That was the one on the right but it didn't match the other three(they were like the one on the left) so I ended up just buying a whole new set. The Cap on the left is from that set.

I only have one set of bearings on hand. The box says engine pro but the bearings say ACL on them.

The p/n on the box is 11-1120A-4

there are two sets of numbers on the actual bearing

the first is - 18AP06

the second is - 1146A

Awesome, so that means the one on the left takes a 7-bolt rod bearing correct?

I really appreciate your help. I'll be buying these through slowboy this time.
