I could understand if they would have made fun of retardeds and people had retarded kids, but it's just a car, and they didn't even make fun of the make or model, just a "sports coupe." They could have put any "sports coupe" in there. I could understand if they took some record-breaking DSM and put it in the commercial and knocked on that it was a DSM, but that's not the case. It was probably the best example of a "sports coupe" than an employee had, and the ugly color they chose helped make fun of the "sports coupe."

All the pessimism aimed towards this thread and the contributors seems kind of unnecessary. You may think that this won't work or that there won't be enough of an impact, but you are thinking too small. If everyone like you looks at this and doesn't add their name to the list, it will go no where. On the other hand, if everyone like you took 5 seconds to weigh the pros vs cons, you would see that there is absolutely no harm in contributing. Even if gaining recognition from EA may be a long shot, why not at least give it a shot and not leave the opportunity for what-ifs. If this petition/boycott maintains momentum and people who signed up follow through by not buying, EA will take notice. I feel that it is completely possible to gain some recognition and, in turn, obtain some form of retribution from EA. Whether it is a formal apology to the DSM community that we can boast on the front page, or maybe a version of our beloved cars in a future EA game.

When anyone is viewing this and trying to decide on whether or not to join, consider the positive things that could possibly come out of this and weigh that against the absolute nothing you stand to lose or the $60 that you will save. Think about it.

I agree with this guy and 98GSXin (sorry forgot to multi quote bud). But either way, I was an EA fan up untill this point. And liked some of there games. But due to this not only are we not buying NFS anymore but some will go as far as not buying any? So with that said EA has a lot of games and it hits them alot harder than just 60 a piece. I so go for it, nothing to lose, and if noticed we gain recognition.
