What would the global and dead time be for 1250cc injectors running e85?

(450/(Injector Flow * .80))-1.0 = E85 Global

Is that right?

Yea start with 330. Once you plug in the injector compensation look at the fuel trims. If they are off adjust the global untill you get them between 0 to +5%. Once you get them as close as possible and they still dont get perfect adjust the deadtime up or down accordingly. Its a little bit of tuning but once you get a hang of it you will get it.

CHANGE HAS BEEN MADE

Ok, so im very indecisive. I changed my order and got 1450s.

What would global and deadtime be on these? Should I stick with the same 330 or go higher?

(450/(Injector Flow * .80))-1.0 = E85 Global

Everytime I try and do this calculation, its wrong.

EDIT: FIC BlueMAX injectors.

Injector Flow * .8
1450 * .8 = 1160

450/(Injector Flow * .8)
450/1160 = .3879

(450/(Injector Flow * .8)) - 1
.3879 - 1 = -0.612

Multiply answer by 100 to get the percent.
-0.612 * 100 = -61.2

Although, according to the DSMlink wiki page, your global should be around -54%.

I would probably go higher with the deadtime. I run my FIC 1150cc's at 480 on 93/116.

ok thanks. So -61.2 would be global for my injectors on e85?

and dead time should be in the 400s?

Yeah, ill try and start around 450. How do I know when to adjust it up?
I saw the thread on link, but they were using 1650s at 720 dead time.

So again, how do I know how to adjust it up in dead time and global?

Im new to using DSMlink. Where can I dial in my fuel trims? Also, where can I see what IDC im running at?

I have v3. Ill capture InjDuty on my logs. How do I make it show up after I tell v3 to capture it? I am capturing it but it doesnt show up on my graph.

Thanks man for your help. I'm excited to get the injectors in and set up a base tune. I'm not sure if you running e85 or not but do you reccomend emptying the 93 octane in the tank and then putting in e85. Or does it not matter. Thanks again for all of your help.

You want to have as little regular gas as possible, even then get a rough tune in until you burn through the rest of your regular gas. You want only E-85 when you start tuning.

If you go to other gas stations or the blend changes during the seasons you will want to monitor your tune and adjust the global scale accordingly, but you will only have to worry about this if the blend changes....

Yep, I'd pull the feed (off the rail) or return line (off the stock hard return line) and use ECMlink to turn on your fuel pump. This will make emptying the gas out very easy. Just make sure to closely monitor how much gas is coming out as you don't want to run your fuel pump with not gas and risk burning it out. Then fill and enjoy!

Ok, ill try that. When the gas is all out nothing with come out, so I can shut if off then right?
Where on link can i turn my fuel pump on/off?

You dont need to do all that just to tune e85. Ive seen and done it in many cars and all we do is run the tank close to empty (real close to where you can hear the fuel pump whining) and fill it up. The tune wont be off and the ecu will most likely adjust once you put in the next tank. Just watch fuel trims and change accordingly.

I have FIC 1150's and run -51% on E85 just to give you an idea. I think the equation presented earlier in this thread is correct

(My deadtime is set at 360.)
