First pull with my street tune (no in car wideband) was 428whp on 24psi and 93 octane pump gas. I only run a tial 38 so if its cool (60 degrees today) that is the lowest it will go with the 1.4 bar spring. Af was in the mid-high 11s with 4 deg timing pulled out in the top end. I brought race gas and figured it would be simple to crack 500whp, but the car devleoped a bad misfire after some difficulty raising the boost. The first 5 attempts yielded no change in boost and the next change put it pegging my boost gauge and a blown coupler. Fixed it and lowered it but it went to 24 again. Raised it to 32, and then to 28 but the car developed an ugly miss. It was late so I packed up and decided to break down the 500whp barrier another day. I'm happy with the 428whp though :) Its nice to have that on tap every day :)

No, its only making 343 lb/ft of torque. On my scm61 set up, I made 400/378, but it did slip a little. No slippage this time. Those numbers were also on race gas (no smim either).

Very nice!

I also experieced a consistant misfire at WOT recently. Leaning out the fuel helped a little, but it still did it. I did some reading and found the stock ignition starts to run out of juice around the 450HP mark. Perhaps lower if you're running rich. Have you looked into it? This could be why you had a miss, too.

Further reading showed that the MSD ignition would help more than a COP setup since the MSD increases the power of the coils, while COP just uses the same ammount of spark, although it uses is more efficiently. HTH

The misfire was just old plugs and a stripped worm gear clamp on my lower ic pipe. New plugs and a t bolt clamp took car of it. Once I get a 1g TB on I will go dyno on c16.

New spark plugs seem to fix my misfire problems every time too.

I saw this on the DSMLink boards as well, congrats on the numbers :thumb:

Thanks for the compliments guys. The car is pretty silly for a fwd car. At least they have really lOMG gears for roll racing but people give me shit for wanting a 70 roll. AWDS goodness is coming soon :D

good stuff but you're likely having spark blowout with the race fuel and higher boost. Try gapping your plugs tighter. I've run mine as low as .022 on NGK 8's and 9's it completely quelled my spark blowout/missfire.

on my new setup I'm going to be running the HKS twin power DLI because I'll be going from ~ 20psi to redline to 30+
