dyno question

my car is basicaly stock except for the greddy bov and the greddy intercooler piping. so ive never been to a dyno im basicaly going to see what my car is putting down to the wheels. but they said it's gona be strap and tune with o2? what does that mean and can they actualy tune anything on my car to free up some hp and tq being that my car is basicaly stock? how does this work?

I think they mean they are going to strap the car down(normal). and put a wideband tailpipe sniffer in to read your A/F ratio. Without any mods, you have no way of altering the A/F ratio anyway. You need an AFC or some sort of airflow altering device to do this. There will be no benefit to dynoing the car except you will find out that it put about 180whp to the ground.

If you plan on doing alot of mods, its always nice to have a baseline dyno to get a before and after picture. Otherwise, like he said, not really any benefit and you could probably spend the money better elsewhere.

well im gona go to the meet in houston for dyno day and i was just wondering i think it's only like 75 bucks or 40 bucks an hour if theres atleast 20 people, so i guess it isnt that bad, and i do wanna know what my future mods produce so this way i will have a baseline to start with.
