Just because you have a front mount, does not necessary mean your turboed!

Pissed me off because he didn't even know how to use it, got it for $150 even, and I have yet to find one that cheap. He overheated the motor about a month later and traded the car for a 4 wheeler.

That one has come up a few times. Who/what is making all these people think there's such thing as a twin turbo DSM?

Yeah, I get that alot too. Depending who they are and what they are driving, I either reply with "STOCK" or "HUGE TURBO".

I got asked in a parking lot to pop the hood and went ahead and talked with the guy for a while. He said "hey are you running the stock 14b or a 16g?" I go ahead and assume he knows his stuff He then proceeds to ask me why I have 2 radiators and when I explained that it was a FMIC he was amazed.

Like many others I've had kids at school say "what bov are you running?" When I tell them its stock they laugh and say "dude cars dont come stock with bov's." Right on buddy

So at this local meet this guy is showing me his talon and telling me he has a bully built motor from slowboy and all this stuff then he stops when the other kid with me walked away and says what does DMS stand for!! i was like wow how did you get to a dsm meet! then we lose him on a cruise and he show up later saying he blew an intercooler pipe and he fixed it with air mattress patch and duct tape! wow! then he goes "ya i know the car pretty well, its my third evo" what a piece of work. I wish my 1g were an evo to

The worst thing i've heard, it was a DSMer, but it was a car person, the kid was into cavaliers....anywho me and a few DSMers were just BSing with this guy who had just picked up an Evo, when the cavalier kid walks up, stares at the engine bay a little, points to the FMIC, then asks "Why 2 radiators?"

I just kind of looked at him like this:

Don't use a decal or make your own up: your car is custom and it should show.

Yeah it was a GT. I was about to include how I had the stroker motor too, but it didn't seem worth the time or energy to converse anymore with the guy.

I was outside my house detailing my motor when a truck drives up and a young kid jumps out and says he has a car like mine. He then goes on to tell me that he is one of the fastest DSM 1G in the town. I say really,he goes on to tell me that he has a N/A 1.8 and that the 4G is st8 trash. The 1.8 is the motor that the EVO was made for. I just looked at him WTF.....Needles to say I saw him 2 days later getting walked by a stock cavalier.....

But seriously, had a guy that worked with me tell me back in Idaho he had a 92 EEEclipse (I hate when people over-emphasize the "E"). I asked what model, he said it was a twin turbo. I laughed and walked away. Walked back over, "I have to ask... what turbossss were you using?"

"Just the stock ones."
"Dude, there is no stock twin turbo EEEclipse."
"Well... then I'm not sure, I barely looked under the hood, it was my sisters car."

I spent the rest of my days trying toget him to race this other kid with a "mad tyte Accord" for "Pinks". It kept me entertained.

wtf is with these people and twin turbo Eclipses??? What gave them that idea? I get that at least once a week. Maybe when Brian Earl Spliner said "T3/T4" on TF&TF they assuming it was 2 separate turbos?
