DSMlink newbie

I didn't hooked my dsmlink yet to my car yet because I wanted to understand it a bit better before starting. I understand the fundamentals of MafComp but I don't get when they say you log both mafcomp and Mafsd and make it match. Mafcomp is the compensation table but where am I suppose to get MAFSD?

Is that data is going to be available after a run?

Please teach me a little bit

I agree! Dave and Tom have forgotten more than most of us will ever know. Plus you get advice/knowledge from people that use DSMLink on a regular basis.

yes 90% of the time you will get an awser from them and why not, they desing link. so they are your best bet!

You can install the DSMlink ECU and start out with just global & dead time unless you have a GMAF. Honestly, your car will run just fine with only setting the global fuel & deadtime.

Once it's running and you have your fuel trims near perfect, you can play around with the airflow sliders.

I've searched the dsmlink before asking this question. I just wanted to know where do you get the mafsd?

Click on ECU on the DSMlink software then go down to Capture Valves and there will be a list of things you can pick to capture the valves of.
