Perhaps a new title while not attract so much negative attention...

I would like to know if anyone has used DSMLink to attempt to correct the rice fuel mixture due to venting to the atmosphere. Long story short, I already have a TurboXS bov, I don't want to buy another, and it seems like it should work as long as I can say "I am always going to shift at 6500 RPMs, so I can lower those settings."

Granted, I have not installed DSMLink yet, so I don't know... if anyone has tried this or has any thoughts, lemme know!

For the record, that is a VE table and is not used at any time other than when Fake MAS is enabled and you are above the threshold hertz.

No. You can't. There is no way to 'compensate' for atmospheric venting in DSMLink. You will not always shift at 6500, and besideswhich there is no way to meter or even approximate the amount of air lost through the BOV, so again, no way to compensate for that loss.

Apparently DSMLink v3 is going to have MAF-T functionality built in, whenever it's released (I was told 'two months' two years ago). At the moment however, the only way to run properly with an atmo-vented BOV is to switch to a MAF-T setup, find an old VPC (no one's used them in a long while though, the ability to atmo-vent with a VPC is pure hearsay), or switch to a speed-density setup like on the AEM EMS.

Volumetric efficiency operation is for when your MAS hits the limit of what it can meter, when you're running LOTS of boost. It isn't meant for daily driving, especially not just to get a rice whistle.

Thank you Talesin, I feel like you're the first person who actually knows anything about DSMLink with this. If I get DSMLink and there is a newer version, is that merely a software upgrade or does that involve some sort of new chip?

And DGajre, I realize that everyone threw out the "No you can't." But I felt that no one really adressed why I couldn't or understood what I was asked besides the "oh, this is a typically noob that wants to sound cool so lets assume we know what he's asking and give him the canned MAF response"

To keep this on topic, when you upgrade, it will just be a chip re-flash. They charged 50 dollars for upgrading V1 to V2, and it is pretty safe to assume the cost will be about the same when V3 rolls around.

Two threads on one subject = BAD

What you're trying to do is not possible. Either replace you BOV with one that recirculates, or switch to a set-up that doesn't use a pre-BOV mounted MAS.
