I can purchase a new chip from a guy for about the 3rd of the cost. Now my question is its set up for 750cc injectors and maf-t (Which is same as 1g maf according to the site). I only have 680cc injecots to be put in. Could I purchase the chip and change the settings on a maf-t and do more tuning with that. Instead of a safc. To set the injecotors. Or do anyone by chance know what charges are to have chips changed?

www.dsmchips.com charges $20 to make changes to their chips.

if your are the original purchaser.

Yes you can tune with yoru maft for the difference in injector size. There would be very little difference between that or tuning 550's for a stock chip image thats tuned for 450's

I would be more concerned with any other features that were added/changed for this chip. for instance. if that chip has no rev limter, or say has a 9k rpm rev limter... then it coudl spell bad news if say, you had a stock engine.

The socket itself still needs to be soldered in, i'm not sure if you knew that. You can try going to any electronic repair shop, like computer or tv repair shop. They may not have the socket in stock but i'm sure they could get it in a couple days for only a few dollars.
