DSM UH SHIFTER CABLE BEARINGS how do they go on?

what i did was pry out the old ones with a flat head screw driver then just slide the new ones in the slot for them on the end of the cable, slide em back onto the tranny and put the retainer pins in, spread em out and enjoy

the ones on the pic they are the ones i need to replace the rubber ones on the cable that connects to the tranny right?

i also have a ? when i put 89 gas my car runs fast and smooth but when i put 93 it runs like shit. everthing is stock on the car but there is a tdo5h 20g turbo on there. would i need a tune with this little mod ? im at 15psi

Those are just skateboard bearings. You take the cables off of the tranny, put a phillips or flathead screw driver into the hole where the rubber bushing is and press up at an angle and they will come out as one piece.

To put those in, they can be a bit tricky....sometimes you have to use a dremel and grind out the metal ring on the cable end to get them to have enough clearance. Buy a washer that's the size of the bearing itself and put it on top...then take vicegrips and press the bearing in.

You need the washer so you don't damage the internals of the bearing.
