Dsm Meets?

One of these days Jack...its only a matter of time before I move back there and join you in some road racing events. I've definitely got my eye on the circle track drags, too.

I personally prefer track days, cruises, AND meets. Out here in SoCal we (LAdsm) meet every Monday night just to shoot the breeze. We keep it low key b/c SoCal is infested w/ Fast/Furious idiots which have driven the cops to Naziesque measures. Street racing isn't worth the risk around here. But, the meets are a great way to learn more info and bounce ideas off each other. Sometimes we cruise the local canyons after the meets.

In addition to the Monday meets, we usually do organize a big cruise of some sorts once every couple of months. A number of us hit up the NHRA street legal drags and Autocross events. A few of us are into road racing, but its so damn expensive to race around here that we don't get out that often.

Yeah, I hear you on that one. If people would do stuff like that around here I would probably go. Too much F&F rice though and it spoils the fun.

I think this year just about every weekend NASA, SCCA, Faasst, or Mike P. Racing Schools have a track somewhere you can race. CSP, High Plains, and PMI. You can definitely get your fill of racing out here in Colorado this year. Hoping to do at least one road race event per month and make it to all of the Circle Track races.

Here is the Circle Track Schedule for this year if anyone else is interested in going:

Okay, I will probably be at all of these this year. If anyone else wants to try it, come on out! It's a blast!

In the vid, that was our first time out there, so we were slow and lost. It's best 2 out of 3 runs and then you progress to the next person.

Last year, in the finals and final street drag event of the year, they put me 1/4 track back against a supercharged Ford. I passed him right at the finish line for the win. It was pretty crazy! They will put you back a few car lengths to give the other person you're racing a chance if you are dominating too much out there. They did it at 1/4 track to me as a joke but I still got him! The crowd went friggin nuts! Crowd loves the street drags.

Well I'm up for whatever I can make. I hoping after you get my tranny done that there is nothing else. I would love to really get the car running in some races. My friend and I are going to the DSM shoot out this year. We also have tickets to the arm drop at Bandimere. I really would like to get in as many races as possible this year.

So what class would a car fit into for "door-to-door" or "wheel-to-wheel" racing.

Time Trials are ###.

Check out NASA's Performance Touring. I really like how the classing is set-up and am working on building my car for it. You basically start out with a base class and are given points for the mods you have. Each 20 points moves you up a class. 2g AWDs have a base class of PTE*. I've been to six track days so far this summer (counting the two days I worked a corner) and have only seen 2 DSMs.
