no dsmlink doesnt allow you to vent. do a search on maf translator, thats what alot of people use to vent and you can tune with it as well

a maf translator is a "dongle" that allows you to use a GM maf rather than the stock ?(dont know the term)? Is this correct or have i misunderstood!?!?! Just wondering.
I was kinda wondering about what you mean by you can tune it?
Does dsm link have more control with a maf setup?
What is the MAF-T setup i see people talk about?

Sorry to double post but at risk of sounding stupid does MAFT mean simply maf translator setup?

The reason for my confusion is cause I see alot of folks say they use a MAFT setup in lew of DSM link..... maybe im just not able to grasp the logic

yes, the translator allows you to use a gm maf. almost everyone that uses dsmlink seems to love it. you can use a maft to tune but if you are using dsmlink along with the maft then use your dsmlink. http://dejontool.com/Fuel.htm that is the maft

MAFT refers to the translator. It's the little black box that translates the GM signal to a usable signal by the ECU. The MAFT can adjust fuel at WOT to compensate for bigger injectors. It is not quite as adjustable as an AFC and no where near what DSMlink is capable of. Venting is not that cool anyway. Recirculating it back into the intake not only makes your car run better but holds boost better between shifts. :thumb:
