I am looking into buying a DSM, as i'd like to have a 12-13 second daily driver. I've taken my kota to the limit, for the amount of money i'd need to put it into the 12's i could have another car.
First question, when looking at a used AWD DSM, what are some key points to look for, when starting, driving, and general appearance?
Secondly, what can i expect to pay for a stock DSM, or even a mildly modified one?
Thirdly, where can i get a good price on a Wideband O2reader/logger, as this would be the first mod to the car.
Thanks for any replies.

First thing I look for are the obvious things.

Rust
leaking fluids
any parts missing
tires
interior (can tell a lot)
e test
can it be safetied

Then I look for DSM related problems

crank walk
ball joints
T- case leaking or invidence of a T- case lock up.

Make sure you check all the fluid pressures (oil, etc.)
Another thing too, doa compression test right before you pick it up, make sure nothing is wrong with the head or block (valves bent, head gasket, etc.)

I would also check what "Staytuned" wrote, it was well written.

As far as a wideband o2 sensor, i would except to pay about $200 brand new.

If you have any other problems or questions, let us know!

Also never buy at night or buy with emotion. If it is not exactly what you want walk away. Just because it looks like show car ........it might still be a lemon. Everybody has their reason for selling something, some sell to get rid of a headache.
